What up hip hop
Time has not allowed me to check in here as much as I’d like lately. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. Between the family duties, the library, my day job and the various musical projects to which I have committed myself, there is little time for marketing and promotion. So here we are.
Summer has unofficially begun and the time is right for a new track. Great segue to announce our latest single, Outatime. We teamed up with Brooklyn queen Nejma Nefertiti for this joint and she blessed us with a dope verse. I am super proud of this one because Nejma has been on my radar for a minute and I really respect her as an mc.

And due to the caliber of the track, I had to get my man DJ DS on there as well. I had no solid ideas, other than the Nas/Mobb Deep quotes might work but he took that ran with it. He’s responsible for the Steve Miller sample as well, me and Al were blown away when we heard it all together, Big up to DS man, he made some creative choices and really killed it.
As usual this one is out on bandcamp now, along with the website, kanemajor.net. It’s listed for less than a buck but you can pay what you want and any support is so much appreciated. Anyway we had a great time putting this one together and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it. Official release date is Friday, 12th June.

Speaking of DJ DS, he added the scratch hooks to this new joint from DJ Views featuring Planet Asia, Melly-Mel and Lowzee. Planet Asia is an absolute beast and has been consistently dope for like 20+ years, so hyped when I first heard it.
