What up hip hop
Back at you sooner than usual. Wanted to clue you all in to some ill collaborations I been involved with lately. I’m getting to work with a bunch of different mc’s, each with their own style (chamber if you’re a Wu head). It’s sparking the creativity and keeping me on my toes, learning new stuff and keeping it moving as much as possible.
So here is some dope stuff to peep:
The Incredible Myart (IG: @myartsmash) is a dope MC from the Boston area, born in Brooklyn so he brings that rugged flavor. Another boom bap disciple, go peep his catalog on all the streaming services.

He has some stuff on bandcamp as well but it looks to be a bit older, 2019ish. He reached out a few months ago for some beats and we settled on a joint that is a little different from my usual flavor but ill nonetheless.
Joint is called Make it Hot and it has a real grimy vibe. He laid down his vocals and sent them to me to mix. He mentioned wanting some scratches, I knew just who to turn to. Long time listeners will recognize DJ DS from a bunch of tracks in our catalog. He always comes correct with the cuts. I sent him a few ideas and he amazingly made it all work and even added his own flavor (which is honestly the best). He went above and beyond as usual.
I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to post about it too much or even upload it to the website.
Myart is another multi-talented artist, he designed the single art, attached here as well. Looking forward to working with dude more.
If you’re in the RI area, he is playing a show coming up - Opening for Rubee Stone Sat. August 22 @ 8p at Wavy Lounge in Pawtucket, RI. Peep the link for tix —> Fullyfocusedmgnt & wavy lounge presents RUBEE stone
Already announced the recent collab with the good brother Soulrac: Next Time, with Al-J. A boom bap piano banger sure to get your head nodding. If you missed it, it’s available on the website —> https://kanemajor.net/single/194918/next-time-feat-soulrac as well as band camp and streaming.
I recently sent both Al and Soulrac a folder of beats so I think they may be working on an EP of sorts. Stay tuned for more on that front, you’ll know when I do what the deal is on that.
Some More News:
Been hard at work on the official music video for Exit Wounds. We had such a great response on that song, Leedz suggested we keep the momentum going and do a video. I had already put together a visualizer before we dropped the song so I was able to work off a template of sorts. I tried to stick with the grimy, live on the scene of the crime vibe for the footage. Was able to plunder the Boston Local TV News Archive for a bunch of great shots. Me and Al-J hit the streets around Ruggles station in Boston for his performance shots, we got there right at dusk and the lighting was pretty ill. Our filming rig consists of a basic iPhone on a flimsy selfie stick - it ain’t perfect but we get the job done. Should be releasing that one sometime in September; I’ll be sending more on that soon.
Recently recorded a track with Blak Madeen and Big Shug, I think they are putting it on their next album. It’s a soulful joint and Shug absolutely killed it. I feel like he intuitively knew what we wanted from him, as far as the vibe and content. It’s one of my favorite Shug verses ever, but I’m biased obvs. Mixing it in a couple weeks but I’m not sure when it will be released. I think soon, though you’ll have to keep up with Madeen for that news. I’ll prob announce it here though because I have a few tracks to be included on it. Can’t flippin wait for that to drop.
Also have another project brewing that is a little outside my wheelhouse but I don’t want to spoil it so I’ll keep it brief. All I’ll say is that I am really looking forward to taking next steps on it; it’d be a real full circle moment if it ends up leading to something. Stay tuned.
Keep squeezing every last ounce of sunlight out of each day, summer is coming to an end quicker than we realize. Mad heads are looking forward to fall tho and I don’t blame them.
Peace and blessings
